Gigi’s Miraculous Journey: A North Hollywood Newborn Photographer’s Story

When Gigi was born, she entered the world as a tiny warrior—born 16 weeks early, weighing just 1lb 14oz and measuring only 12 inches long at 24 weeks. She was a fighter from the very beginning, spending those first months in the NICU where her parents watched her grow stronger each day. As a North Hollywood newborn photographer, it’s moments like these that truly remind me of the resilience and strength that babies possess.

Fast forward to mid-March, and Gigi’s newborn session finally arrived! We adjusted her age and scheduled her for when she’d be thriving, and wow did she grow! Her mom had taken pictures of her during her NICU stay, including the yellow floral heart images shown here, that were such a perfect reflection of how tiny she was at birth. At that time, the heart took up almost her whole body, showing just how tiny and delicate she was when she first arrived. But by the time she made it to her photoshoot, Gigi had grown so much—she was bigger, stronger, and absolutely radiant. It was incredible to see how far she had come.

As a North Hollywood Newborn Photographer, seeing her in person at her session was a true testament to the strength of this little miracle. I see babies every week of the year and these moments, as a photographer, are truly special. Watching her grow and thrive over the months was such an honor, and capturing these moments for Gigi and her family filled me with pride. It’s not every day I get to photograph such a miraculous moment, and I am beyond grateful to be part of Gigi’s journey. She truly is a miracle, and I’m proud to have been able to document this amazing milestone.
