I had the incredible opportunity to shoot with Chantel Christie-Jeffries and baby Noah in my North Hollywood photography studio, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Chantel is the beautiful wife of Daquan Jeffries, who plays as a point guard for the Charlotte Hornets. Chantel had mentioned ahead of time that they were filming for the reality TV show Basketball Wives on VH-1, but I honestly didn’t think too much about it at first. I was just excited to work with such a wonderful family.
Little did I know, what started as a typical baby milestone session would soon turn into a full-on production! When Chantel and her team arrived, I was greeted by a whole crew—complete with audio and lighting. Suddenly, I found myself feeling a bit nervous, especially since everything was live! But, as the day went on, I realized just how sweet and professional everyone was. They made the whole experience smooth, and the nerves quickly turned into excitement as we prepared for the session.
We were shooting Noah’s milestone session, and let me tell you, he was absolutely adorable! He’s such a strong sitter—one of the most confident little babies I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Not only did he show off his sitting skills, but he also demonstrated his crawling and supported standing. It’s always so special to capture these milestones, and Noah made it all the more enjoyable with his sweet personality and energy.
We were able to get so many cute shots of him. From his strong little stance to his playful expressions, every frame was filled with charm. Toward the end of the session, we even managed to capture a couple of beautiful, simple moments of Chantel holding Noah. It was the perfect way to round out such an unforgettable day.
The whole experience was such a unique and memorable one. Working with Chantel and her family was an absolute pleasure, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of such a special moment in their lives. Although we shot in November, I couldn’t share about it until the episode aired. But now that it’s out, I’m beyond excited to have been part of such a special moment and to have these beautiful memories captured for them!
