It has been a devastating time as the Los Angeles Wildfires continue to rage. Indeed, it has been heartbreaking watching our communities suffer.
The Los Angeles Wildfires hit close to home. Recently, one of my clients, Sydney & Adrian were directly affected by the Pacific Palisades fire. They lost everything. Family heirlooms, cherished photos, and a lifetime of precious memories. Just a few months ago, we had the privilege of working together in Pacific Palisades, and now, seeing so many families enduring the aftermath is truly heartbreaking. I can’t believe this photoshoot was only a few months ago. Unquestionably, in times like these, community support becomes our greatest strength. I hope these resources provide relief for those who need it most.
If you are in a position to help—whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word—every action makes a difference. Let’s stand together and support one another through this challenging time.
I have pulled together a list of various organizations across Los Angeles County that are offering critical support to families in need. From free childcare for first responders to emergency food assistance, these resources are designed to ease the burden on those impacted by disasters.
Here are some valuable resources available for families with young children or newborns:
Firstly, in response to the ongoing Los Angeles Wildfires, the YMCA is offering free childcare for children of first responders, essential workers, and families who have been displaced or impacted by the Los Angeles Wildfires. This service is available for children aged 4 years and 9 months through 8th grade displaced by the Los Angeles Wildfires.
Important: Space is limited, so be sure to reach out as soon as possible to secure a spot for your child.
For families affected by the fires who are in need of support, BabyWearLA is offering free baby carriers to help parents transport their young children during this challenging time. This service is especially helpful for families who have been displaced and need assistance managing multiple responsibilities.
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is providing emergency food to families affected by the Los Angeles Wildfires. This critical resource is available to those facing food insecurity during this difficult period.

The Magic Castle is hosting a collection drive to gather essential items for families impacted by the Los Angeles Wildfires. On Tuesday, January 14, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the parking lot will serve as a hub for donations, meals, snacks, and comfort items. In addition, magicians will be on hand to bring some joy and entertainment to families.
LA County Parks and Recreation is offering Care Camps for youth and teens affected by the fires. These camps provide emotional support through various activities, including arts, crafts, sports, and field trips. A safe and supportive environment is created to help children heal during these difficult times.
Participating Locations:
Meals: Breakfast, snacks, and lunch are provided daily, with dinner for teens.
Upwards is reaching out to daycare providers to ensure their safety and assist with immediate needs. The network is also helping families locate available childcare options during this time of crisis.
